Samtec 1.27mm (0.050") Tiger Eye™ Discrete Wire System includes cables, plugs, sockets, and terminal strips designed for micro rugged applications. These products are available as components or complete assemblies and feature the high-reliability Tiger Eye contact system. Samtec 1.27mm Tiger Eye Discrete Wire System offers shrouded, polarized, and keyed products with PVC or Teflon cable. Metal latch and screw-down options are also available.

Ideal for micro rugged applications
The contact mating surface is on the flat, smooth side of each gold finger. The smooth surface extends mating life because it reduces stress on the plating, providing lower contact resistance and longer plating life. Micro-grooves in the tail allow solder paste to penetrate the grooves, wetting a larger surface area on the leads and providing greater solder joint strength. Connectors with microgrooves in the tail adhere to wet solder paste better than flat leads before reflow.
The popular SFM/TFM series are 1.27 mm pitch mated receptacles and terminal blocks available in vertical, right-angle and horizontal orientations. SFM and TFM are polarized to ensure proper fit and offer optional friction lock for increased unmating force.
